Designing GUI's the hardway

So today I have some more progress screenshots of the next version and the changes to interface.

This is with the "filter window" showing, you can see the various ways you can currently filter games, by name, year, playtype (single player, multi player, etc) and country. There may be some more eventually.


And this is with the filter back to hiding. All you need to do to show it is move the mouse to where it says "game options". A pretty neat way to keep it out of the way most of the time whilst still allowing easy and quick changes.


If you look closely, I have also tweaked the layout of the frames somewhat, moved them together to create a more cohesive looking rom loading interface. The private BETA of this version is going out to a few people for testing today, but we are still a week away or so for the actual public release.

This shows the loading screen you will get when RetroCopy displays all the GAME files in whatever system folder you have selected. Usually you will only get this screen the first time the files are looked at as the system caches it.


This shows the new GAME conversion screen. With a progress bar and updated list. Now you can see how long it will roughly take.
