The RetroCopy virtual gameroom video released the other day seems to have been well received. Thanks to everyone who has rated it and commented on it. I spent the weekend improving the 3D code after finding some issues with it.

I got rid of the milkshape 3D loader I was using because I found out it simply breaks 3D models sometimes and you can't really tell unless you have a keen eye. I'm now using a pure 3DS loader, which is more complicated to support but also seems a lot more sturdy and produces better looking results. I've also been fixing some small issues with my fragment (pixel) shaders and improving the performance and quality of them.

The release date for this version will be in the next few days. I wanted to release it last Friday but I guess I shouldn't decide to add major features at the beginning of the week. :) A few bits of tidying up and it's ready now, so it shouldn't be too long. Make sure you become a member if you want to get it earlier than everyone else too.

Also some of you may have noticed the new logo for the site. Alfonso Carvallo kindly provided his time and offered his services. He is also working on Sonic 2 HD, a remake of the classic game with better graphics.

I like the new logo, its definitely an improvement over the last one. I was away for a few days and just saw the virtual gameworld video. Its great, can't wait for the next beta.
