Sims 3 for nerds

So today I worked a bit more on the 3D engine of RetroCopy, making it more seamless and easier to use.

Wesman asked on youtube whether there would be bigger sized rooms, so I thought why not tweak one line of code and make a bigger room to show one? RetroCopy has been designed from the start to be rather "open ended" and flexible when it comes to requirements.

The mechanism behind the furniture, rooms, and other similar things will be properly added for v0.900, not v0.800. What I mean by this is v0.900 is going to be bringing some exciting community features that the whole concept of users rooms will be brought into, I'll let people's ideas run with that as much as they desire... ;)

Today I was focusing on the actual object engine, in the screenshot you can see now that levels and stacking is properly added. If you remove a piece that is holding something up, it will collapse, a bit like real life! However you can still do some rather unrealistic stackings if you so choose (top left of picture has a platform held up by only a few blocks).

Congratulation for your work, it's amazing. I think retrocopy will be in the futur the ultimate emulator ...
What about genesis emulation in 0.800?

I bet a lot of 3D ARCADE fans will flock over to RetroCopy and start making some awesome rooms. The future looks bright.

Perhaps around version 1.500 or so, there can be a RetroCopy Asset Construction Kit, or RACK. Where you can design tvs, arcade machines, furniture, props, for the game room.

Have a "screen" prefab that people can design around, for TVs and arcade machines..
