So v0.800 is running a few days behind schedule but the good news is *drum roll* it's nearly ready!I'm down to only one thing to do before release, which means there is a good likelihood it will be out on Saturday, or Sunday at the latest. The release week crush has hit like it usually does. For some reason real life likes to tack more things onto my list when I have an actual release schedule. A possum has been breaking into my house after eating its way through the roof and it's taken some time to get that under control. But anyhow I can almost feel the weight of the release off my shoulders and that is a good feeling. I'll be working simultaneously on the Linux build after v0.800 is out, combined with fixing bugs and implementing new things people want. I don't want another massive 5 month wait between releases as it increases the pressure. Thankfully all the coding I've been doing in the last 5 months will help me maintain tighter release schedules.Anyhow in celebration for the release being nearly here I took some screenshots. The last screenshot is an interesting one. While testing My Hero on Sega System 1 (arcade) I tried to take the little buddy you get in the game all the way to the boss. At first I didn't think it was possible because without rewind there is almost no way you could navigate him there, he dies often as you don't directly control him.The interesting thing is if you do manage to get him to the boss you get a million bonus points and a weird sprite shows up telling you something in japanese. I believe the sprite that pops up is actually from another system 1 game, "I'm Sorry". Which is about a Japanese prime minister I believe... how is that for some weird arcade trivia. I'd like to know if anyone ever playing the real arcade machine managed to get him to the boss and see this screen.

Linux builds will be precompiled binary. I'll try and get it on as many platforms as is easily possible, though I'll mainly be targeting the bigger distros like Ubuntu. I haven't worked on Linux for a few years but there isn't much code to port in RetroCopy anymore so it shouldn't be a big problem.
