Woo! Finally over the hump of this new GAME format, I'm definitely on a high from it. Not that it is 100% finished yet but it is nearing there.
Firstly I'll start off with a picture :-
At the top is the GAME file at 382KB, next are the uncompressed ROMs totalling 3072KB, and last is a traditional ZIP file holding them weighing in at 1805KB. Compared to the normal ROMs the GAME file only takes up about 12% of the space! And compared to a ZIP file containing them about 20% of the space.
It's working in RetroCopy now, which is a sight I haven't seen for 2 weeks. Some small things still need to be added but now I'm on the down side of the hill which is good. No more frustration.
