I pretty much finished up the input devices over the weekend for the Master System. I ran into a few snags but nothing too big, and found out some new things about the Sega hardware.
The Japanese sportspad has different internal hardware than the American Sports Pad, but only one game uses it and it is horrible. Should I add it? I probably will eventually. I found no reference elsewhere about the Japanese sportspad being different, but it makes sense since the Japanase Master System doesn't have the same capabilities as the European/American ones. For some reason Sega thought it would be a good thing to have input devices which were different for each region, maybe this is the precursor to the DVD region lock?
Today I decided I needed to spruce up the interface a little because I have been getting some criticism that it was ugly. Now I'm no artist so people will have to forgive my attempts at beauty! Anyhow I have uploaded a new video showing the new interface and some other features. I hope people enjoy it, it's done in a light spirit.
