The ability to log in from the program is going to be added in 0.700, it's required for certain features like cover downloading (and some more stuff to be described later).

I just tried your login Entrax and it worked fine. Make sure you use correct capitalization with your password. Usernames aren't case sensitive but passwords are. Once you've entered it once correctly it saves it so you don't have to reenter it again.

The other thing to check is that retrocopy.exe can use your network if you're using a firewall. Though I would have thought it would give a more informative error message in that case, I'll have to check.

At the moment it only uses port 80 outgoing and only accesses http://www.retrocopy.com . For most firewalls this is fine but some software based ones may be limiting it.

If you're using Windows Firewall with exceptions on, you'll probably have to add an exception for retrocopy.exe (or retrocopy64.exe).

I'm kinda new here, so I was wondering if someone could help me with a login problem as well.

In order to login I must write my username, but I can't seem to enter the "underscore" character for it. I press the "dash" key with "shift" but I always keep getting the "dash" character. I can use "underscores" outside the RetroCopy emulator, so I'm pretty sure this isn't a keyboard problem.

Is there a workaround to this?

Thanks for finding that pixel, it is a bug. For now you can create a new account or wait a few days for the fix. It also affects other characters like that.

Could this bug be the same as the bug i have when I use 'm' character in login area?

Yes it could micky I suppose, if you have a different language than English as the default and "M" is a unicode character.

Actually now that I think about it there is a work around, open up config.xml and add these two lines with your relevant info.

<string name="login_userpass" value="password" />
<string name="login_username" value="username" />

Try manually entering the user/pass into the config file Entrax, that way you'll be able to make sure they are correct. Is English your first language? Maybe the keyboard mappings are playing up for you too.
