Valis - not run at all

Valis 3 - not run at all

Squirel King - not playable, character just fall.

Soul Blade (unl) - when begin first round sound completely lost.

Pitfall - i can't control game, due to bugs in Mega Drive 2 controller code, use 3-button controller

Beyon of Oasis - hang and crash Retrocopy 0.700

Wacky Worlds - i can't control game, due to bugs in Mega Drive 2 controller code, use 3-button controller

Hi Sasha, thanks for that big list! When you say PSG must be set to 1.50 do you mean in comparison to the FM chip? I began working on some MD fixes last night in the sound so it would be helpful to know about this.

I'll be taking a look into a few errors today hopefully I can iron quite a few out.

Yes, i think in version 0.700 very high level of PSG level approximately 2.00, for real volume we must decrease PSG to 1.50, i got real PSG output close to TV speakers, we try to do maximum realistic sound of TV set? if yes, my setups perfectly :)

Due to my nostalgia i perfectly remember sound from my old TV set "JVC" this is Japan TV set from 1992 year, with wonderful sound.

I most big Sonic the Hedgehog fan, and i love PSG melodies, i specially adjusted volumes for Sonic games PSG 1.50 + Boost PSG Noise and actually it work exellent with all another 500 games, which i tested today in Retrocopy ;)

Awesome Possum - some problems with timming, sounds at 5-9% slower

Mickey Mania - serious bug, go to menu in sound test, music set to: Continue, SFX to: Appear, Speech to: Think... and highlight EXIT and hold <- left (5-10 seconds) if all right you listen one SFX, now start game, and you see levels select, select Moose Chase... ;)

Hmm ok, so decreasing PSG than it currently is is more authentic? I was thinking the FM chip was a bit low so I have increased that, I'll decrease PSG a little and see how it goes.

I've done some MegaDrive fixes today, the controller stuff is fixed, some sound stuff and a few VDP issues. Still some more to go though.

The mickey mania 3d level needs accurate emulation to run correctly.
It's the 5 level show in intro i remember ...
It can be a good test ;-)

Almost yes, my real russian version of Mega Drive 2 (PAL) do aspects with capacitors at 220uF 16v, very difficult modifier value, i only detected average level of PSG in value: 1.50, for example minimal level of PSG sometimes goes to 1.00 but in most games for example Sonic & Knuckles it may increase to 1.70, next problem some games may sounds not correctly: Road Rash 3 and Virtua Fighter, most safe value PSG is 1.50, after long testing 5-6 months on Regen all games with this value perfect, only one problem in few games music will sounds slightly silent approximately at 6-10% but it not real problem ;)

NHL 98 after main menus show black screen

SuperSkidmarks - all menu glitch + music completely distorted like MicroMachines series:

What speed CPU do you have Sasha? I looked at the Musha Aleste slowdown at title screen and it seems to contain an area of high CPU usage, it runs fine on mine for example (4GHz I7) but if I go to debug mode it runs really badly even though most games run fullspeed for me in DEBUG mode.

I'll have to look into it still because I don't think CPU usage should be going up too high in those moments.

I have AMD Athlon X2 6000+ 3015Mhz, in title MUSHA i noticed slow music, but all game run always on 60FPS :)

In benchmark test, i have: 3.750 for Sega Master System, and message congratulation: you have good enough PC for comfortable play in Retrocopy ;)

i found new bug: Sample rate 96000 not work with Sega, all another sample rates 22050/44100/48000/192000 work good...

I hope you have a midrange machine to test on (About a 3ghz Core2Duo), because that's going to be the majority of RC users.

OK i almost complete my copy of Mega Drive 2 with juiced rainbow melodies, this is full copy which i remember at 100% it must sounds in "fullscreen mode" for view from "TV mode" need increase Volume at 5%

For emulation need: YM2612 by default to 1.00, set PSG to 1.50 + PSG Noise, YM2612 SuperHQ, Lowpass filter (for emulation 22050Hz) Overdrive (Volume x2)

And we got most melodic real Mega Drive 2 and it will be really sounds as retro :)

Trouble Shooter - problem with control, in menu weapon select don't stop move, when i select weapon, i can't move characters to left and right.

Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 - something wrong with timings, after appearing screen, music hangs at short period.

Yes I have a 3.2GHz Core2Duo for testing. I was just saying that the music slowdown appears to be a CPU intensive issue, I hope to solve it.

Something wrong with sync of sound, i finished Sonic the Hedgehog 1 twice, and on third time, i got this strange bug:

I detected bug, for example: after finish Sonic the Hedgehog 2, 1 or 2 times, PSG Noise lost sync.

I have fixed quite a few bugs in the Gen/MD. The "slowdown" bug was caused by games that excessively poll the joystick ports which was causing my input code to be repetitively called (which is rather intensive so should only be called a few times per frame at most instead of 1000s).

Most graphical bugs and sound bugs have been fixed. The gynoug one is still bothering me though, it's quite a weird one. I did manage to fix it but I'm not sure it's correct so I removed the fix for now. The release will be out tomorrow or the next day.
