Hello,

I'm new here.
I just discovered Retrocopy yesterday. Everything works perfectly except one thing : How can I save ?

I mean, in a game like the first Sonic on Master system, well it's not really a problem. But when I play "Soleil" on Megadrive (or another RPG) which is longer, it's kind of problematic.

Thanks in advance

I've already added it, did it today, so it's working. :) But I'm only allowing one save per game at this moment, and it's automatic like the Wii classic games.

I'm going to be releasing RC on much shorter intervals now that the core work has been mostly done.

thats great i actually like it that way...no cheating just being able to continue later (when reallife calls :). will it be possible (sometime) to save ingame in batterybackup games like zelda etc etc? that would be really necessary if more than one person is playing the game.

Battery backup games already have such features for multiple players don't they? The battery backed up information will be stored in the save state such that it's treated like any other game.

thats true they have...but maybe i´m missunderstanding the save state thing? i understand that if you have multiple save states then there´s no problem whatsoever....but if i have only one auto save state that continues from last time i quit the game...then what happens if i wanna switch to another (battery) save and play. (ex change character in zelda) i mean what happens if i reset then the batterysaves will be blank...right? in that way i have to continue from last autosave...die or quit and then load another batterysave? hmmmm....sorry for my confused question...

Good question. I guess when you want to swap users most games have a way to "quit" when they have multiple user support. However I also guess a reset should do it, if you reset then the battery backed portion won't be reset but stay the same, hence the data will be there but the game will be reset.

Basically the save state support will just ensure the battery backed portion of the game will stay the same, pretty much like the real system.

Hi!
Is state auto-save functioning ok in linux platforms? When I quit a game, I must always start over.
I use Ubuntu 11.04 64 bit.

I prefer more slots for savestates than autosave

The problem is that in my case, the state of a game can be neither autosaved, nor manually saved. When I press "Esc" and from the menu I select "save state", I'm informed that that the state is saved. However, when I start the game later again and I choose "load state" from the previous menu, the game starts from the very beginning, not from the state I chose to be saved previously.
