Surprisingly enough I noticed there was not a general suggestion thread for retrocopy, so I decided to start one, with some suggestions for retrocopy of my own.

These may be things you are already implementing, RetroRaplh, but for savestates it would be nice if there was a "sate saved" message, as well as state loaded.
As for input, it would great if at least there was a note of what every button does, I noticed F5 and F6 cgange screen filters, which mess with my savestate keys. I think it would be more convenient if all the directions and maybe a few buttons were made "universal" for systems, so I wouldn't have to configure all the directions when they're the same since they're all on the same gamepad. I would suggest making it toggleable though, since I sometimes want to switch to my genesis pad for genesis games using my adapter. Also, could you allow the fastfoward/rewind graphic to be disabled, a la NesDS?

I may get around to adding a status bar before next release, the current fast forward graphic is a bit adhoc. That would also allow other messages to be shown.

Originally RC was developed around the concept that input would be shared between systems, a global system. But I ditched that as it wouldn't let users have total control. As it is now it takes about a minute? to set all the buttons which isn't too long. Compared to many emulators I've used I think the RC input setup is fairly nice and easy to use. Maybe adding a way to set directions for all player 1/player2 inputs at once might improve that, but it then complicates the process somewhat.

There are still some lingering hotkeys (F5/F6/F2) being the main ones which aren't tied to the normal input system. I will likely get rid of these and have them as menu buttons instead, with the effect being saved.

I don't like the separate inputs. I prefer setting one set of controls.

Bump-date, I find the fact retrocopy doesn't disable the screensaver a bit odd.

Trophies and achievements are a nice way of getting people to play every single game, to collect them all.

Play a game for a certain length of time and you gain a trophy. You have the ability to decorate your game room with it.

Use the RP system to buy trinkets and furniture for the game room. Unlocks would be tied to your account.

Get RP Points:
2 RP for writing a review
5 RP every hour using RC
50 RP bonus for playing 10 different games for 1 hour each.

Purchases:
1 RP for a game box
10 RP for a beanbag chair
50 RP for a 3d Pac-man arcade cabinet replica.
100 RP for Johnny's Mega Arcade Game Room

Top 10 List of members with the most RP points. Encourage users to make custom content.

These are suggestions of course.

There should be a standard compressed format for the models. "model.rcm" It would contain the model itself and the textures and whatever scripts for the model. To keep things clean. Basically a renamed zip file, but the extention is changed so it looks more professional.

I found very funny bug :)

In options Sound Quality with mistakes.

Now i show correct way:

Sound Quality:

Good -> Holy Shit
Very Good -> Good
Holy Shit -> Very Good

I select every Sound Quality and run Benchmark and Holy Shit gives me overall result: 2.194

Good Quality gives: 4.019

Very Good gives: 3.192

The sound quality affects the benchmark because each emulator core at the moment handles processing their own audio, at least to some extent. A lot of the audio processing is done in a separate thread (3d calculations, bass boost, etc) but to get it into a usable format the emulator cores first convert it themselves.

In regards to the jukebox it's an interesting one. I haven't thought up a good idea yet of how to do playlists, does anyone have any ideas within the current framework of RC? :)
