I wonder if it's possible to get good at it so you can actually use it to play seriously...

Pretty cool but can't see it taking off for classic games. Try playing R-Type or something like that. ;)

This is Kinect, so :

1) You look like an ass
2) You get tired more easily
3) This is far from being super accurate and responsive

Just considering 2) and 3), there is no way you can get some "serious" gameplay with this.

Maybe not. But it would be more fun to play Super Mario as a workout, than lets say jogging.

Good news is this type of thing already exist for more than 24 years, under the lovely name of Family Trainer (Family Fun Fitness in the U, S and A).

Yeah, the NES had lots of weird devices, many of which are turning up these days as new devices but at least they are more accurate and responsive these days.

Latency was way better with the wired Family trainer mat than it is right now with Kinect. 24 years have passed and this is all we got, and people think this is a revolution, really ?

I'm also not really sold on the Wii or Kinect or anything else yet. They are only small movements forward rather than something revolutionary. People seem to cream their pants over anything big companies do these days. Look at upgrades to iPhone or iPad for good examples - "OMG IT HAS A BLUE BORDER INSTEAD OF SILVER, WHAT AN UPGRADE, BUY BUY BUY" . ;)

I will be glad when this motion sensor fad wares off,to play games accurately you need a control pad, sure you can have a bit of family fun but i cannot see that lasting very long.

Now, this is a feature I wouldn't want to see in Retrocopy.

And now you can even use Kinect to do robotic surgery: http://dailyuw.com/2011/1/18/uw-students-adapt-gaming-hardware-robotic-surgery/

I got a Wii Remote recently to have a play with Dolphin, so I may add support for it to RC if I can figure out a use for it. :D
