Or is there already such a feature there in the program that I'm overlooking somehow? I just looooove playing Zelda 2 with infinite magic, and would be sad to learn that I simply cannot do this with Retro Copy.

An editor for all systems is planned. A bit like artmoney for PC. You can also use artmoney on emulators if you want to do it in a different way. ;)
