NES support in RetroCopy is still a bit undocumented, as we don't have a game database for that system yet. That is something I will eventually have to start work on.

Not all mappers are supported yet, so if Aladdin uses one of them that could be the reason why it doesn't work.

No, there is no NES database yet in RetroCopy, but there will be once I find the time to make one. It will be a lot of work though, as the NES library is huge.

Over 90% of the NES games are supported and run well. Of course RetroCopy doesn't handle "crappy mappers" as well as the most popular NES emulators yet which can be a hassle.

We will have to move away from the iNES format into our .GAME format, which means a bit of work separating the gfx/prg/snd roms like we have done with the arcade systems. Thankfully someone from the paradious forums has started a NES database in XML format, so we have a good start when it comes to input devices and things of this nature.

Best site to use for reference would probably be BootGOD's NES site located here:

I recently got a Kazzo & have been dumping my US NES collection checking against his site.

Thanks for that! That site looks excellent, so will probably use that quite a lot when making the NES database.
