Hello, I am new and not long ago I discovered retrocopy and it is fantastic, but I believe that they should make a lower resolution available as for example 800x600, many people will not use this emulator for the fact that a more or less powerful PC is necessary to emulate filters to these resolutions so high that there are available ones, they are leaving out many people that with not so powerful machines they might find interest in this big emulator, it is a speed question. I am using a translator sorry

Set your desktop resolution to 800x600 before you start RetroCopy.

Well, minimum resolution for RC is 1280x720.

But if reduce it even to 640x480, it will not give you speed up, because resolution not important part in this emulator.

Approximately minimum requirements is:

Any Dual Core CPU at 2.6Ghz
512MB of system memory (for Win XP)
1024MB of system memory (for Win 7)
Video card: Geforce 6600GT (or equivalent Radeon)

SASHA, MY PC IS:

INTEL CORE 2 DUO E8200 2.66 GHZ
2 GB RAM DDR2 800 MHZ
ATI RADEON HD4830 DDR3 512MB
WINDOWS XP 64 BITS

I will be able TO RUN NEOGEO GAMES at full speed with Filters?

PLEASE , ANSWER THIS QUESTION WHEN YOU HAVE SOME FREE TIME

Yeah, if Mega Drive games run without problems, because this system most demanding in RC.

NEOGEO has less requirements.

Does anybody know if there is an PSX emulator that implements z-buffer and perspective correction for textures? I've been reading stuff on net that says it's impossible because PSX doesn't have z-buffer and so on.
So when you play 3D GRAPHICS PSX GAMES on higher resolution(FOR EXAMPLE ON A LCD WITH AN EMULATOR) there are flicker graphics due to lack of z-buffer of PSX.

I was searching for an answer and I find that The PSX hardware didn't supported Z-buffer, so games were made WITHOUT IT.
You can't just add that later via software...

SO, I WAS THINKING, IF RetroRalph could make A SPECIAL FILTER OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT FOR THE FLICKER BE LESS NOTICEABLE,AND BE ABLE TO HAVE A BETTER IMAGE QUALITY IN HIGHER RESOLUTIONS.

AND , IT WOULD BE GOOD IF RETRORALPH COULD MAKE A MDEC FILTER LIKE EXPSE FOR THE MOVIES WILL LOOK LESS PIXELATED (PETE´S OPENGL PLUGIN).

I know there is still enough time for the PSX emulation, but , I think it would be good see what options has RetroRalph for carrying out PSX emulation. :)

Ok Then which is the goal of the emulator if it is not the speed?, accuracy? what is that, I am not a programmer, only play the games.
I when I play a game look for an emulator that you put the maximum filter and possible quality and that it completes less possible resources emulating what I call (correct), and to emulate consoles of 8 and 16 bits there should not be necessary a dual core and a geforce 6000 (minimum still?) when other emulators (any more simpletons) move the same graphics in a pentium 3 with a onboard card!.
I like retrocopy I like his interface, info and trivia of the games and ordered. I even am on the point of changing of machine with an 9500 gt, but that does not change anything, the emulator consumes too many resources for these consoles that it emulates seems to me, if to lower the resolution does not give speed of that time or is optimized badly or eats many resources i think..

P.D. Danan the jungle fighter (sms) it does not exist in the database, no art box no trivia whats wrong? i have a bad rom?

Yes, RetroCopy is more interested in accuracy than speed. Its goal is to be cycle accurate, which is the highest level of accuracy. RetroCopy is meant for modern computers, but like you said, there are plenty of other emulators that work on an old Pentium 3 that you can use, if you don't want to upgrade to a new computer.

Yes, if your "Danan - The Jungle Fighter" is listed as unknown in RetroCopy, it means you have a ROM that is different than the one that was released, most likely a bad dump.
