SORRY, BUT I THINK IT WOULD BE GOOD HAVE A SEPARATE THREAD ABOUT PSX EMULATION...
Does anybody know if there is an PSX emulator that implements z-buffer and perspective correction for textures? I've been reading stuff on net that says it's impossible because PSX doesn't have z-buffer and so on.
So when you play 3D GRAPHICS PSX GAMES on higher resolution(FOR EXAMPLE ON A LCD WITH AN EMULATOR) there are flicker graphics due to lack of z-buffer of PSX.
I was searching for an answer and I find that The PSX hardware didn't supported Z-buffer, so games were made WITHOUT IT.
You can't just add that later via software...
SO, I WAS THINKING, IF RetroRalph could make A SPECIAL FILTER OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT FOR THE FLICKER BE LESS NOTICEABLE,AND BE ABLE TO HAVE A BETTER IMAGE QUALITY IN HIGHER RESOLUTIONS.
AND , IT WOULD BE GOOD IF RETRORALPH COULD MAKE A MDEC FILTER LIKE EXPSE FOR THE MOVIES WILL LOOK LESS PIXELATED (PETE´S OPENGL PLUGIN).
I know there is still enough time for the PSX emulation, but , I think it would be good see what options has RetroRalph for carrying out PSX emulation.
