My review of Double Dragon for the Sega Mega Drive / Genesis

Score: 6/10

Ironically enough this would have to be one of the most faithful Double Dragon ports released. Why ironically? Well it's running on a much more powerful 16bit system, and yet looks pretty much the same. Double Dragon is famous for kicking off the side scrolling beat-em-up genre and it's not hard to see why.

It's a bit strange this game was released for the Genesis / Mega Drive when there were already much better beat-em-ups that had refined the formula to a greater extent. Nevertheless this game on the Sega Genesis / Mega Drive serves as a good way to play the original without the "arcade hassle".
