were to begin hmmmm,......so has anyone used 3D Arcade. Its a bit long in the tooth now but basically is a room with real 3d arcades inside, lovely rendered machines with the actual arcade stickers on them, and u can launch your game directly from them too, i was just wondering if Retrocopy had this feature ?, and if not ? then why not, I do luv Retrocopys look, and the fact that its modern with anti aliasing, but it should also be frontend based, or a seperate front end version at least so people hav the choice what to run with it, its a shame really, coz retrocopy has so much potential not just as an emulator, but also a sweet looking front end............

Well, we aim to be "cohesive" with RetroCopy. Providing an experience for all systems we cover that is exactly the same. That is pretty much impossible if it's a front end. With the new features planned (netplay, etc) I think it will be obvious as to why we aren't that interested in that route you mention.

That said it may be possible in the future to have plugins that RetroCopy can use and display output from other programs, be it emulators or games. But it will be obvious that they are "Different" than the actual real cycle accurate emulators in RetroCopy.

I think it could be done, plus these other emulators already use kaillera for netplay p2p or server, 3darcade is the only one of its kind, but it is getting old now, and hasnt been updated since about 2006, although the cabs pics etc are, shame really, soooo many frontends out there, but no 3D ones......... tell me does retrocopy have 3D rooms that users have created that we can all share ? ?, I like the one in the demo that has all the arcades lined up against the wall and the camera is sweeping along, u can see all the games each playing there own video, relly nice that and with no slow down, 3D Arcade can only play 1 video at a time.......... :( .

RetroCopy has the actual games running on the machines, not poor quality video. This way, you will be able to see your friends actually playing the games, and you can join in seamlessly.
