A friend had this game when I was a kid, so I played it from time to time. It's a pretty decent platformer, with real old-school 8-bit graphics, just the way I like it. It has classic music tracks as well, so theres many things I like about it. The only thing I don't like is that you move a bit slow, and unless you get those boots, your jumping isn't so good. Also it's a pretty hard game, and you're pretty good if you just manage to clear the second stage. And there's four more after that (in the European and Japanese version anyway, the American version is actually shorter), so prepare to practice (or cheat) if you want to finish the game. Ironically, with such a hard game, the last boss is actually pretty easy compared to some of the other bosses.
The US version of this Sega Master System game had half the amount of levels in an effort to fit onto a 1MBIT cart instead of a 2MBIT one. This was obviously done for cost cutting reasons, the European and Japanese version is 2MBIT and contains all levels.
