The kids next door had this game when I grew up, so I played it from time to time then, and I've played it a lot after I started using emulators. It's a fun game which doesn't take that long to play, and you can play alone, against the computer, or against friends. You have four different billiards games, four different darts games, as well as a bingo game, so quite a lot to choose from. The darts games are my favourite, even though the others are fun to play as well.
I have to admit I've never bothered to learn the rules in the billiards games (except the game called "basic"), and compared to modern billiards simulators, this is of course quite simplistic. For its time it's quite good though. The same can be said for the darts games. It takes some practice to be able to get the dart to go where you want it to go on the dartboard, and I guess that can be said about real darts as well, so the game is quite realistic in that manner. "Round the clock" is my favourite darts game of the four you can choose from. The last game, "World Bingo", involves more luck than skill, but can be fun to play once in a while.
Although the game is fun, what really excites me when playing this game is the music. The different games have different music, and some of them are on my top list of best Master System music, like the "Round the clock" music. What I didn't know when I grew up was that the cart has FM music on it as well, as long as your SMS is capable of playing FM music (which my SMS of course wasn't, as I didn't grow up in Japan). Discovering this has made the game even better!
If this game is started on a western Sega Master System, the title screen will say the game is called "Party Games"! In the version that was released in the west, the game is however called "Parlour Games".
