Janggun-ui Adeul Trivia

This game is based on a Korean movie with the same name ("General's Son" is the official English title of the movie) from 1990. It was highly popular, and can be said to be Korea's answer to "The Godfather". The game follows the events of the first film roughly, and, as in the film, the hero Kim Duhan has to fight gangsters in Korea's early 20th century.

The game uses a unique mapper that bit reverses some of the ROM data. This allows the mapper hardware found in the cartridge to flip sprites in the left direction without the main Z80 CPU doing any work. All the sprites are stored facing in the right direction and usually would require the CPU to flip them manually as the SMS lacks sprite flipping capabilities.
