This game is in my opinion the best SMS game. It has colorful graphics, wonderful sound and a large game world to explore. Combined with the fact it has RPG like elements and it puts games like Super Mario Brothers 3 to shame.
This game was one of the bigger SMS cartridges at 256KB (2Mbit). I chose this game as a birthday present and it kept me entertained for quite a while. To implement a persistent world you were given a password you had to write down. In an ideal world they would have added some battery backed save ram. It was quite frustrating to write the password down and then enter it with the control pad, it was also prone to mistakes and you quickly realized you had to triple check what you wrote down to ensure your game wasn't lost.
If you can only play one Sega Master System game play this game.

Super Password
Enter WE5T 0NE 0000 000 at the password screen to start with a million gold pieces and as Hu-Man with all items.
Create blocks
Equip the Magical Saber, Knight Shield, Goblin Mail, and Fire Ball. Every time you swing your sword, you'll create magical blocks.
Transform anywhere
Equip the Tasmanian sword, and jump into the air. While in the air, hold BUTTON2 on controller 2 and press BUTTON1 on controller 1. You'll transform when you land.
Resurrection
If you die wearing Hades Armor you will be resurrected.
More money
Killing enemies or opening gold chests with the Lucky Sword equipped will get you more money than usual.
More items
Killing enemies while wearing the Prince Armor gets you more hearts, magic and charm stones.
Create blocks
Equip the Magical Saber, Knight Shield, Goblin Mail and Fireballs and you can create blocks anywhere, without needing the special star blocks.
Lava-proof
Lava will not damage you while wearing the Dragon Mail.
