This game is pretty much the precursor to the famous Heroes of Might and Magic series. Whilst HOMM may have improved upon the formula, in many ways this game with its more straightforward approach is quite enjoyable for those that just want to spend 6-8 hours playing in a setting.
You basically have to find a treasure, and you collect the pieces of the treasure map by fighting enemies at their bases or by stumbling upon it in hidden areas. The fighting is turn based, and like chess, moving your pieces around the board is rather strategic. You gather men to fight for you by going around the map and finding places where they "breed", or you can hire them from the king. You can even take over castles and store your men there to protect them. All in all I suggest everyone who likes strategy try this at least once.
